Southwest London’s thrash infusers Imperium unleash latest EP “When Kings Meet”.

Opening title track ‘When Kings Meet’ immediately demonstrates a heavier, tighter production, and prominent basslines. Gravel vocal delivery then fires into the nostalgic warmth of ‘Desperate Screams’ which has some really nice groove elements underpinning a fast-charging, wall of death inducing monster with one hell of a chorus.

Up next is ‘Capable of Murder’, which has some face-gurning drum patterns which pulls in all the other contributors into a tornado of riffs and solos. This is my highlight track of the album.

‘Iron Thunder’ is the EP’s longest track and it really encapsulates the real grit that “When Kings Meet” is rife with, and my word, the harmonies in the vocals are particularly noteworthy as they intertwine in styles but still fit to create a final strike of studio produced superiority.

The EP also features two live tracks from the bands Bloodstock Festival set which you can watch in full via the bands YouTube channel.
