EMQ’s With A MOMENTS NOTICE
Hi everyone! Welcome to another EMQs interview, this time with USA Metalcore band, A Moments Notice. Huge thanks to vocalist and founding member, Greg Molina, for taking part.
What is your name, what do you play, and can you tell us a little bit about the history of the band?
Greg Molina, I am the vocalist. The band originally started as my solo project that I was doing with the help of Nick Miller of A Skylit Drive and Jordan Alverez from Petroglyphs. The band was me basically dabbling with the idea of what I wanted to do musically, I personally never thought that it would actually be anything but an internet band. I released two singles and very soon after that, members had hit me up asking if I wanted to have actual members for this band. We had every reason to not do it with my work schedule, but I took a chance on this possibly working and now it has been a pleasant surprise. After 7 months of me creating this group, we had a full line up and are now working on this band’s first record, which is also being recorded by Nick Miller.
How did you come up with your band name?
The band name is about how life can change in a moment’s notice. We wanted a change in our lives.
What Country/Region are you from and what is the Metal/Rock scene like there?
We are from the United States, California specifically. Our scene is insane. We have such a tight group of people. The music scene out here is very active and alive!
What is your latest release? (Album, EP, Single, Video)
Our latest release is ‘Endless Waltz’ from December 2021. We are currently working on a release for our newest song on our record coming out soon release date TBD.
Who have been your greatest influences?
Mitch Luker, he was and still is my favourite vocalist. His stage presence and vocalist inspired me to push myself.
What first got you into music?
I was always into music and I was raised in a house with music, so it was one of those moments in my life that, I felt like I was always gonna get into music.
If you could collaborate with a current band or musician who would it be?
Courtney from Spiritbox, Will from Lorna Shore, and Taylor from Left to Suffer.
If you could play any festival in the world, which would you choose and why?
I would love to play Knotfest or Warp Tour *if it comes back* those two mean so much to me that it would be super fun.
What’s the weirdest gift you have ever received from a fan?
I personally have never received a weird gift, but I guess it’s bound to happen.
If you had one message for your fans, what would it be?
We love and appreciate all that you do for us. Please share our music, stream our music as much as possible every bit of it helps!
If you could bring one rock star back from the dead, who would it be?
Mitch Luker. He died way too soon and was a good friend and amazing musician!
What do you enjoy the most about being a musician? And what do you hate?
I love being on stage and watching a crowd shouting our vocals back at us and being engaged. I wouldn’t say hate, but the one thing that bugs me is the lack of support for smaller bands from bigger bands. Trying to get on a bill and not being bigger makes it a grind and I feel it could be helped more.
If you could change one thing about the music industry, what would it be?
The lack of support for Metalcore or Alt styles of music. It’s not easy to be an artist in our genre and I
wish we could all be more successful like some of the big top 100 artist without changing how we sound.
Name one of your all-time favourite albums?
One of my all time favourite records is “Zombies” by The Devil Wears Prada. The album is insanely fun to listen to and has to be one of the best albums made.
What’s best? Vinyl, Cassettes, CDs, or Downloads?
Vinyl is pretty awesome, but downloads are probably the best just based on convenience I would say.
What’s the best gig that you have played to date?
We have yet to play a gig but I think that in time there will be some shows that I just loved and will always remember!
If you weren’t a musician, what else would you be doing?
My day job is a barber, so I could imagine it being the thing I would do if I wasn’t making music at all.
Which five people would you invite to a dinner party?
I would probably bring my band and our manager because there’s always so much laughter with those guys and that’s what I love about it.
What’s next for the band?
As a band, our record is next after this music video. We will probably have a few releases before that and shows but we are projecting the record being released August 26th, 2022.
What Social Media/Website links do you use to get your music out to people?
We use all streaming platforms and love to leave the links below for everyone!

Jaffa Cakes! Are they a cake or a biscuit?
Oh boy the debate, I mean I would say biscuits even though I know some people would swear it’s a cake.
Thank you for your time. Is there anything else that you would like to add?
I just appreciate everyone and the opportunity to share a little about us. Please check us out, if you love our music buy some merch it would be appreciated so much!
