“Tory Punching Music” is a split album that consists of a collab between Scottish based band Tyrannus, who plays RABM (Red and Anarchist Black Metal) and Magicide, whose contribution is to bring Industrial EDM holocaust, using the platform Tyrannus has built, to make chaotic mixing and consistent electro mastering.
And, as crazy as the three songs presented on “Tory Punching Music” sounds, it is still possible to find beauty in Callum John Cant’s Tyrannus Black Metal madness, meeting the electro noise delivered by the disturbed minded that Magicide probably is known for.
During the eight and a half minute “Tory Punching Music” running time, the three songs – ‘Bricks & Flesh’ (Tyranuss), ‘Madness’ (Magiced electro blast) and ‘Tory Punching Music’ (Magicide & Callum John Cant) make it clear that the intention of the record is to disrupt any boundaries among Black/ Death/ Thrash/ Industrial music, and electronic mixing and programming. It’s chaos which can lead to serious convulsion and mind confusion for its listeners!
I have survived the test of listening to this split record a dozen times while writing this review. So, if I can do it, you can too! I think you should just go for it and if you fancy “Tory Punching Music”, just like me!
