Versatile is a Swiss band that, on “Les Litanies Du Vide”, practices absolutely holocaust songs with the usual dystopian ambience over übersaturated-Industrial-fashion altering with Operatic dark and dramatic landscapes on a Prog approach – in many ways.

“Les Litanies Du Vide” perspective reminded me of the nostalgic Strapping Young Lad chaotic signature – due to the compressed / Industrial / Extreme Metal style; and the vocal technique is the same that Devin Towsend used to deliver on one of his best lunatics projects – yes I miss SYL…

The song ‘Ieshara’ sounds fucking great as they mix EBM conductions with Extreme Metal lines and the usual Death Metal singing that makes this song one of the highlights on “Les Litanies Du Vide”. The album is only 43 minutes long, taking advantage of above average production, which creates the ‘wall of sound’ sense effect and highlights the songs’ urgency and conduction, as heard on ‘Morphée’. The production and mixing tricks also fit with Versatile’s musical proposal.

I’m biased when it comes to reviewing the type of Industrial Extreme Metal sound as heard on “Les Litanies Du Vide” because I love the style. So, if you are also into this genre, just go for it!
