Hi everyone! Welcome to another EMQs, this time with Brazilian band Projeto Rock Story. Huge thanks to Paulo Henrique (P.H.) for taking part.
What is your name, what do you play and can you tell us a little bit about the history of the band?
My name is Paulo Henrique (P.H.), I am a vocalist, guitarist and composer, I also play Violin and harmonica.
The Rock Story Project came from the head of Cláudio Koetz (Manager and Producer), at the 2022 Carnival, during the CarnaStock Event in the City of Itápolis (São Paulo). Together with Edson “Carioca”, he brought together some of the musicians who performed at this event. The musicians were already regulars at Cláudio’s house and longtime friends. The initial idea was always to tell the History of Rock, but in a different way, so with study, patience and dedication from everyone involved, we created a repertoire in Chronological Order, and so we can walk through all the decades in which Rock had its greatest relevance, from the 50s to the present day.
How did you come up with your band name?
The name Rock Story Project came about through the idea of telling the History of Rock, and was a consensus among all members.
What Country / Region are you from and what is the Metal / Rock scene like there?
We are from Brazil, from the State of São Paulo. The Rock Scene has always been very strong since the 1970s. And to this day it remains strong and conquering new generations
What is your latest release? o)
Our latest release is the Album – Trem de Luz
Who have been your greatest influences?
It is difficult to describe the influences, because as we are 8 members, each one carries their influence and makes it explicit in each Chord, in each Note, in each solo.
Our main concern is to make Rock in its essence, raw and direct.
What first got you into music?
As a child, from the age of 10, I started to listen to music in a different way, certain songs gave me goosebumps. And I felt a good thing and wanted to convey it to other people.
If you could collaborate with a current band or musician who would it be?
Here in Brazil there are a multitude of wonderful and very talented bands and artists. To mention a single artist would be unfair.
If you could play any festival in the world, which would you choose and why?
If I could choose, I would choose all of them. We want to take our music to as many people as possible.
What’s the weirdest gift you have ever received from a fan?
An Action Figure of the Joker character (from Batman)
If you had one message for your fans, what would it be?
I thank you for all the affection and respect I have received for all these years, and that Rock Story is the new page of my History and my history.
If you could bring one rock star back from the dead, who would it be?
One is impossible, but I choose 3. Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Raul Seixas.
What do you enjoy the most about being a musician? And what do you hate?
I really like to see people’s reaction when they hear our songs, when they sing along with the band. I only hate it when there are divergences of ideas, and it causes some discussion, even though this is inevitable and often necessary, since there are many heads working at the same time.
If you could change one thing about the music industry, what would it be?
That music was not only seen as a product on a shelf, but also as something that can change people’s lives for good. We want to bring positive and fun messages to the people who listen to us.

What’s the best gig that you have played to date?
Rock Story concert at Capital Moto Week 2026 in Brasília/DF
If you weren’t a musician, what else would you be doing?
It’s hard to say, it’s been so many years in music.
Which five people would you invite to a dinner party?
I’m going to follow the wave of my favorite artists. Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Raul Seixas, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones.
What’s next for the band?
We are producing our second album, which will come heavier with impactful lyrics
