The Swiss band based Häxär’s new album, “Ich bin die Schwärze”, is out now and consists of a compilation of requiem songs for a Black Metal Satanic Mass – at least this was how it felt to me while listening to the record; the second effort released by the lunatic composer named V. Noir, surrounded by sequencers, pro tools and vocoders at his home studio. It’s mixed with misanthropy everywhere to be found in Häxär’s inferno cult, influenced by Celtic Frost and Mayhem, with no rules or boundaries (in the Black Metal lands) to create Teutonic moments, forged in necromantical disgusting chants.

It is hard to highlight one song because all of them complete each other, comprising most of the time of songs whose goal is to cause labyrinth sensations, as we keep listening, one song after another. From ‘Ave Satanas’ until ‘Blut und Krieger’, the dark ambience domain increases song by song, bringing experimentations such as ‘Aus der Asche wir steijen’ and ‘Ave Satanas’ into the mix.

To be honest, at first I was sceptical with 3 fucking covers songs included on an album with only 9 songs – but, much to my surprise I found really impressive deconstruction allusion  and artistic moments in all the covers songs, especially ‘Speel of destruction’ from Burzum and ‘Black Metal ist Krieg’ (Nargaroth).

Of course V. Noir’s intention isn’t to be nominated for the Grammy Awards, or something like that. But I think that all the Black Metal Hordes should listen to “Ich bin die Schwärze” at least one time, because it is a genuine piece of art.
